Signature Canada is a leading provider of hotel reservations and sales training, hotel front desk training, equipment sales and service training and mystery shopping in Canada.

Our training classes are very interactive. The participation of each participant is key to the success of the program. We do not insist if one is shy or does not want to talk or, more so, listen to their calls. The intent is that they learn and leave the room with something they want to put in practice immediately.

We put ideas in minds, not words in mouth.

With that said, the more the participants understand the intent of what we want to accomplish – and what we want them to accomplish – the better are the chances for a win-win-win combination. The owner and managers will see the revenue numbers rise, the employee will enhance their sales and service skills and their clients will witness a better approach to business.

If they concentrate on their clients, the sales will follow naturally.

If they concentrate on emptying the shelves, the sales window will be short.

Francis Prézeau
Owner/President

Francis has the distinction of becoming the first trainer of Signature Worldwide to purchase a license from the company. He joined Signature in 2003 as a regional training account manager, became Team Leader for Canada in 2007, and, in October 2008, he founded Signature Canada.

Francis, who has close to 30 years of hospitality industry experience, knows first-hand the challenges faced in today’s very competitive marketplace. He has gained a wealth of knowledge by working directly with many hotel managers, and hundreds of sales and service personnel across the country.

Francis has used his personal exposure to develop many of Signature’s training programs, which have been implemented throughout Canada, Europe and Africa. He is now responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating strategic marketing and corporate growth plans for Signature Canada with the main focus on sales and service training at hotels, call centers, casinos and restaurants. Francis also works with clients to custom design training that focuses on the guest experience.

Prior to working at Signature, he served in a management capacity at a variety of different hotels in Montreal and north of Quebec City, starting his career at the Ritz-Carlton. A graduate of the Institut de Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec, Francis has a great record of success in developing new accounts, growing strategic accounts, helping grow sales organizations, and building and developing teams to support organizational objectives.

   

Isabelle Duval
Operations Manager

Isabelle joined Signature Canada in November 2008 and helped set solid grounds for the Canadian team. As Operations Manager, Isabelle is responsible for the team of mystery shoppers, scorers and coaches as well as accounting, human resources and supporting the trainers.

She graduated from l’Université du Québec à Montréal in 1994 where she received a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, specializing in Hotel and Restaurant management. She has gained a wealth of knowledge by working in different hotels in multiple departments such as housekeeping, restaurant, banquets, front desk and revenue management. She was one of the pioneers of Revenue Management in the Montreal area when she worked for the Marriott Château Champlain as well as the Courtyard Montreal.

 
 

Alethea Porter

Alethea Porter
Regional Training Account Manager

Alethea joined Signature Canada in April 2011. She is responsible for managing training accounts throughout Canada. She travels from Calgary delivering training mainly in the hospitality industry.

Prior to Signature, Alethea has held such positions as General Manager, Daytime Operations Manager and Senior Banquet and Catering Manager for many renowned restaurants and organizations such as Moxie’s Classic Grill/Sandman Hotels for 8 years, Wildwood Brewing Company for 3 years and Penny Lane Entertainment for 3 years. Her extensive knowledge in the food and beverage world allowed her to design and open the award winning restaurant Blink Restaurant and Bar on Stephen Ave in Calgary, Alberta.

She is not only a certified International Wedding Planner and member of The Catering Managers and Catering Coordinators of Calgary; Alethea has also owned and operated Above & Beyond Events and Catering for nearly 10 years.

With all this wealth of experience, Alethea thinks that great Customer service is something that we forget to provide to our guests each and every day – but this is easily fixed. She is excited to be able to share her experiences and knowledge with others – and she hopes she can encourage students to aim just a tad bit higher each and every day.
